Age: | 42 | Background: | Steve O’ Brady is the charismatic young star whose energetic hard dance sound has taken the scene by storm in 2006. His sound ranges from bounce classics to driving hard trance and a variety of hard house - both old and new. His sets carefully progress through the various styles of hard dance and are skillfully enhanced with outstanding acapellas, tricks and an assortment of other effects. They are always structured with extreme precision and flawless mixing, making him one of the most technically skilled DJs in Hard Dance.
Steve first came to the Hard Dance public’s attention when he won the prestigious 4Clubbers DJ competition, (previously won by big names such as Radio1’s Kutski). A peak-time set at The Hard Dance Awards 2006 in London followed, allowing him to make his mark on the capital after having made his name in the North of England. He impressed clubbers and promoters alike at the event, and since then he has been one of the most in-demand names in the scene. His reputation grew quickly after this breakthrough, and he was soon playing for massive London-based parties such as Wildchild, Insekt, Polysexual South and the most celebrated event in Hard dance; Frantic. Steve’s first Frantic booking was for Supernova at the legendary Brixton Academy which played host to 4500 rave hungry clubbers. Back up North, Steve is resident at the massively popular night Parlez-Vous (whose previous residents include Andy Whitby, Shan and Ben Stevens).
Steve’s production has also got off to a fantastic start, with his remix with Leigh Green of Tony de Vit’s “I Don’t Care” signed to Tidy Digital and featuring as number one in their online chart. This highly promising artist debut has added another string to Steve’s already strong bow, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s one of the leaders of the scene.
“Steve is a genuine man, who loves music. When he came to me and said he wanted to be a DJ I knew he was serious, you could see it in his eyes. He knows he has to work hard, but he will, and he'll do it because he loves the music and he loves being a DJ.” – Salvador, Parlez-Vous
''I just want to say well done to Steve O' Brady for what was a faultless set at the Hard Dance Awards at the Fridge in Brixton. Great tune selection, flawless mixing…'' – Craig Paxton, Most Wanted Events
