Kidology Records ‘London After Dark’ album launch party
After a blinding launch party at Pacha on 8th March, Kidology and the gorgeous Kidettes are already preparing for its return on Saturday 3rd May.
The venue and the night couldn’t have been more suited if they tried. Pacha’s stunning interior and reputation for classy clubbing mixed with Kidology’s sexy house music and dazzling production is a match made in heaven. The venue is undergoing big changes, and by the time Kidology comes round again, Pacha will be the proud parent of a brand new sound system – a system so powerful they’ve had to move the DJ booth to accommodate!
The follow up party on 3rd May is quite special as it marks the launch of Kidology Record’s debut compilation series ‘London After Dark’, due for release on 5th May. The album - mixed and compiled by label honcho Mark Wilkinson is set to be a sure winner with all those that follow Kidology. The sound of the album captures exactly what goes on inside the club, and it’s available in a mixed and DJ friendly unmixed format – perfect for those wanting to add a Kidology sparkle to a DJ set.
To celebrate, Mark Wilkinson (aka Kidstuff, Problem Kidz, and most recently Dab Hands) will embark on a five hour set delivering the most floor filling, bass driven and upfront house and electro on Pacha’s spanking new system. In the capital, Mark is infamous for his marathon sets having wooed crowds at The Cross and The End in a similar style, and all going down a treat. Joining Mark will be Kidology resident and ex-keyboard player of The Streets, Eddie Kid. Eddie knows much about the sound of the Kidology label as he released his first debut single since leaving The Streets on the imprint last year, and has a follow up titled ‘Let It Go’ coming soon, alongside Streets ex-vocalist Leo The Lion.
At this event Pacha’s second room or ‘Global Room’ will be held by Too Damn Glam. TDG originally established itself in the clubbing capital Ibiza and now throws parties all over the country for its cosmopolitan, flamboyant, and glamorous clientele, including a residency at Zinc in Southend. TDG and Kidology are set to get on like a house on fire!
For Kidology’s launch party, it dressed up Pacha with stunning new production; there were inflatables everywhere from stilettos to giant pouting lips, not to mention the two podiums where The Kidettes stole the lime-light, gyrating their hips and entertaining the crowds with their sexy moves. This party will be no different, including Roller Girls with buckets full of freebies of brand new Kidology merchandise. Worried about what to wear? The Kidettes recommend you dress glamorously silly and colourful and the first 60 clubbers in this Kidette style attire will get in for free!
