It has been a long time coming. Quite a few have felt a WEEKENDER is due, and here we have it… October 9th to 11th.
Although it is music and er ‘party’ that brings us all together, there is a huge wacky social aspect to this.
The idea is to arrive the Friday from midday but in time for dinner which will be around 7pm.
The Republic is located on an incredible stretch of land alongside the Vaal River in the Vredefort Dome heritage area, within 1.5hrs from Joyburg (directions & info will be provided).
Friday evening is the calmest of the lot, maybe . If you can get to bed at a decent hour (comfy 2 & 3 sleeper ensuite log cabins provided) then perhaps Saturday morning opt for some river rafting after breakfast. That will have you back in time to squeak-some-tekkie on the dancefloor which erupts at around 11am – Listen out for the loud horn thingy signalling the imminent nutta-ness.
About that dance floor… Things will be completely transformed for the occasion with sound, lighting & other visuals imported into the Republic. A featured DJ lineup of S’Africas finest experienced artists will keep you grinding for over 20hrs. Confirmed so far are Muzik, SueX, Cornel, Renier, Brandon, Ludgy, Craig Pyle, Gareth Divine... More citizenships are being approved.
The dance floor may or may not draw to a close shortly before breakfast Sunday morning. It’s anyone’s guess really. But there is breakfast that morning and individuals perspectives of the nights shenanigans will most likely be shared at some point in the day, alongside the river, in the forested gardens and whilst braving the rapids in the pool. Some will depart the Republic that Sunday, a few of us may opt for another night.
All included in this fandangled WEEKENDER is your two special nights accommodation + Dinner & Breakfast + 20hr quality party + Passport to the Republic + surprise goodies.
Your sleep spot itself is rather damn awesome. Log cabins nestled under the trees that sleep mainly two and some with 3 nuttas. Ensuite ablutions with shower. Usual bedding & towels provided. See venue pics section for some insight.
