ALLSTARS IS COMING!
Everyone has star potential...
Shake up your Saturdays with the best new mash-up to hit North London in the last five minutes. Saturday Allstars is the perfect excuse to get wankered down the pub. But hang on... it's a little more than that. We're gonna be soundtracking summer with house, breaks and fits of laughter.
The debacle kicks off on Saturday 15th May at Progress Bar, Tufnell Park, N7. And hopefully we'll be invited back monthly provided you scoundrels don't nick the fixtures and fittings.
Whether a warm-up jock or headliner, everyone gets treated with the same amount of respect at Saturday Allstars. Which is basically not a lot. Putting themselves in the frontline at the launch party is top dude with the girlie laugh Ashley Casselle (Ashtrax) and Paul 'Never Buys A Round' Arnold (Fat Records). There'll be sheep shagging action from ex-Hybrid scratch pervert Jamie Griffiths (he's Welsh, waddya expect!) with resident Johnny Arthur (Gallery, Laidback, So) bringing up the rear (easy now!). And we've also completely conned Tim Davison (BecomeOne) and Mark Sun (It Would Be Rude Not To) to play with empty promises of free beer and loose women.
Your Saturday Allstars hosts are Robbie A (party monster in the making), Johnny Arthur (alleged DJ) and Lesley Wright (editor of DJmag who should know better). The launch party is also Lesley's birthday (ooooh, what a coincidence!) and there'll be free giveaways and concessions to Chew The Fat later at The Key, in Kings Cross, given to those who tell Lesley how young she looks.
The nonsense kicks off at 5pm and with a beer garden, BBQ and cheap cocktails (til 9pm), it's bound to be a bloody disaster. Entry is free until 10pm and a measly £2 after. Your summer starts - and probably ends - here.
