As the summer draws to a close, we thought it would be very rude not to take advantage of the rapidly improving weather for a blow-out of epic proportions! And what better way to do it than to continue our stream of sell-out boat parties that have set the Thames alight over the last few months?
June saw ES team up with the awesome Ava Recordings for a maritime adventure featuring the legendary Andy Moor, Orkidea and David West... while only a few weeks ago in August we sent the all-star international cast of Mr Sam, Andrew Bennett and Niklas Harding floating down the river with the tunes thumping out for our Summer Spectacular.
Saturday 6th October is the all-important date, 6pm is the time... so what divine treats have we got lined up for you this time?
We wanted to shine the spotlight on our own residents this time, as a tribute to the incredible job they've all been doing. So we've decided to stick Niklas Harding, Chris Salt and Lizzie Curious all on the top deck together... expect some serious mayhem!
Of course NIKLAS HARDING needs no introduction - Armada's most prized possession and an ES resident since April, he's delivered the goods time and time again, with witnesses still talking fondly of his previous ES sets even today. CHRIS SALT - our secret weapon - has been with ES since the start and has an infallible ability to get you into the mood at the start of the night, or tear the dancefloor apart late into the night! Then of course there's LIZZIE CURIOUS: London's biggest party animal! With a penchant for all things house & electro, if the crowd's rocking then Lizzie won't be far away! Backing them up will be our good friend and the man who did an incredible job of closing after Menno De Jong last year: ALEX BUCK.
Just to throw something (or someone) even more special in... step forward - our extra special guest: MARK PLEDGER! Having risen to fame as part of trance duo Smith & Pleger, Mark's been responsible for many of those uplifting tracks in which you've found yourself getting lost in the early hours. Now touring the globe as a headline DJ in his own right, we thought it was high time we got him to rock the boat!
As ever, that's not all you're getting -The lower deck is our most impressive to date- here you'll find some of the most in demand house DJs bashing out the best in funky, groovy and dirty beats... and who better to lead the charge than Hat-Club and honeyclub supremos PROK AND FITCH Architects behind the massive anthem "The Chant", getting support from all over the globe, there seems to be no stopping this duo! Then we will get a special visit from the South African party pair otherwise known as 2 PHUNKED UP... possibly the most in-demand house DJs in London, currently in the process of tearing the capital apart with their Elek2ronik nights, we've invited them to join us before they fly off for a huge tour of their home country 2008! Add to that Brighton's house hero JAMIE WADMAN plus ES favourites NIALL GILLILAND and SIMON PISANI and you'll see we've got quite a party on our hands here!
