On the 20th April, Fusion presents the fifth episode in their series of almighty club events, this time celebrating sixteen years of the brand and exactly one year since the event was re-branded and re-launched at Club Ice in Westbury, Wiltshire. The event will be even bigger and better than ever as headliners Darren Styles, Hixxy, Supreme, Ramos, Druid, MC Storm, MC Whizzkid, Nicky Blackmarket, Ecksman, Tim Cook and the Future Freakz are just some of the names on the bill spanning across a selection of arenas of UK Hardcore, Old Skool Hardcore, Drum & Bass, House and Electro.
The last event back in February attracted a massive crowd of dedicated followers and this event is no exception as early word on the pre-awareness campaign is through the roof further fuelling the proof that UK Hardcore is at the forefront of the UK dance scene today. Sixteen years and still going strong, this extra special birthday event will see a massive Main Arena featuring the now infamous Darren Styles, Hixxy, Supreme, Sy, Druid, Dougal & Gammer, Recon, Ramos, Squad-E, Sunset Regime, Seduction, Robbie Long, Jay Frantic, Pikey, D-Lyte, Geos, UFO, Wink, Bundy, Jaypo and those all important Fusion residents Stormtrooper, ‘Queen Of Hardcore’ Clodhopper and assured to give those CDJ’s a good thrashing, Hardcore heroes and friends of Fusion, Project Bosh
Main Arena MC’s of course have to reflect the plethora of talent adorning the main stage and so (in following suit) Fusion present a line-up that reads like the who’s who of Hardcore MC’s including Storm, Whizzkid, Marley, Ribbz and Fusion residents Knight and Casper.
Besides the usual high level of production and jaw dropping visuals involved in such a massive event, the organisers have decided to celebrate with two very special arenas; one (as above) highlighting the very best of today’s ferociously successful upfront UK Hardcore scene, the other paying tribute to nearly two decades of Hardcore and sixteen excellent years of Fusion as the original pioneers of the Hardcore scene – Supreme, Ramos and Druid present a five hour mammoth set playing totally Old Skool tracks dating back from 1992 – 1997 in a classic showdown harking back to the days of Fusion at The Bath Pavillion. The legend that is Hixxy will be taking us back to the beginning of his award winning career to give you a Farnborough Classics set and South Coast hero Wink will be covering Fusion anthems from 1993 – 1996. Paul BassRock tops things off nicely with a breaks set and Bristol’s first lady of Hardcore, Miss Special K rolls out the anthems in this one-off arena showdown that has been exclusively arranged for this 16th Birthday event.
To complete a classic line-up, you will be needing those original MC’s and so Old Skool legends meet MC Future Heroes as Knight, Ribbz, Marley, Ronnie G and all new Fusion resident Casper combine forces for a classic rinsing of rhymes!
No Fusion event would be complete now with out a carefully recruited Drum & Bass line-up and so we are pleased to announce the Cocoshebeen Vs Paradox arena featuring two of the South Coasts biggest brands working with some of the finest D&B talent in the dark arts today. Nicky Blackmarket will headline along with Ecksman, DJ Deep, Weetamix, DJ Abel, Sleuth, Wink, Twigz, Klip, Karn Evil and MC’s Eksman, Double L, Sence and Matty C. Looks like another massive sound system is in store tweaked for a massive bass driven blow-out, Cocoshebeen style!
Fusion are always happy to welcome back for their third visit to Club Ice and to celebrate Birthday style, the very cool, yet very filthy Cartel are back with residents Tim Cook, Tommy Mundell, Phil Thompson playing some filthy Electro, Twisted and Dirty House. Also on the bill are the very dynamic duo, fresh off of the back of their whirlwind set at Ministry Of Sound; the Future Freakz and they will be making sure the atmosphere is dirty and driving as they spin some upfront Electro at peak time to keep the party fire burning high!
Originally bursting onto the scene over fifteen years ago and still going strong Fusion has stayed a sell-out success and four events and one festival later since they re-branded, they are stronger than ever and this is reflected in the multi-themed group of arenas you see here before you.
Combining four key dance music genres over five arenas and bringing with it flawless, full-on production, awe-inspiring light shows, an array of top drawer entertainers and merchandise stalls (including an opportunity to purchase Turbulence releases on site as well as Fusion merchandise); Fusion is ultimately a massive festival atmosphere event, neatly packed under one roof at the illustrious Club Ice.
