Mexican DJ/producer INTERACTIVE NOISE will be melting the decks at ESP for another “superior clubbing” experience on Friday 23 September 2011 (the next day is a public holiday). Slippery & Wet goes international along with all the ESP residents and special guests: over 10 DJs and 20 hours of what ESP does best!

Hugo Venegas (Interactive Noise) has been recommended by NEELIX as ESP’s new international DJ for the event everyone’s been waiting for, the one to define a new musical policy for SA’s longest running nightclub. NEELIX unfortunately had to cancel all his bookings for the next month due to medical reasons, but will be performing live at ESP early in 2012.

INTERACTIVE NOISE will be joined by Brandon P, James Damian & Alessandro Mariola on the Main Floor, which also sees Morne & Dizzy (TranceFusion) hitting the decks for a 4-hour progressive psy-trance journey that pulls zero punches.

The ESP resident DJ line-up on the House floor headlines Tammy B, Skinz, Ben Rafferty, Stuart Hillary, Groove Element, DJ Seebz and Brad Prolad, along with special guest Ronald – and also featuring the now iconic ESP Morning Sessions.

Interactive Noise is made for those seeking to find high quality, original music that shifts boundaries. As a live act, Interactive has performed at many of the world’s top music festivals; as a producer, he has published several tracks with some of the most important international record labels.

Hugo (Interactive Noise) made quite an impact on the progressive trance scene in 2010, when he produced his debut album Rewire, released through the SpinTwist label. The album tapped into the current progressive/psy trance revolution, and set the trends for fans wanting a more progressive 21st Century style of music. The album seamlessly blends many electronic sounds, including progressive house, with strong doses of techno and minimal sounds added.

He has received acclaim worldwide for his live performances and original productions, establishing him as one of the new names to watch in international dance.

Notes to Editors / Short biographies:
Hugo Venegas (INTERACTIVE NOISE) - Born in Mexico, Hugo started to submerge himself in music at a very young age. His great passion for music eventually evolved into creating computer-generated beats. He experimented with a variety of electronic music genres, which led to the birth of the Interactive Noise project in 2007 – his main driver was to develop a truly fresh new style of music.

Dean John Athienides aka DJ DIZZY has been cementing his reputation for the past 21 years, and is considered to be one of South Africa’s most successful and talented dance DJs. Dizzy has played residencies in over 100 night clubs in his career, including all the top dance events ever since the inception of contemporary dance music culture. Dizzy is renowned for his versatility, as he is able to play a wide range of music: from progressive Electro House to Trance with a few diversions thrown in to make the dancefloor thump all night long.

ALESSANDRO MARIOLA – ESP regular DJL lives life passionately and embraces the creativity of music, arts, dancing and painting. He enjoys listening to all music genres and with an open mind, learns from all of them. He has played at major events & clubs internationally in London and Amsterdam, including Club Heaven, Knowwhere and Queensday. He is the man behind "Music Travel" which is one of the biggest world trance tracks released on the 1st of May 2008. It jumped to the top 5 of the World DMC Trance Charts and stayed in the top 8 for two weeks. This is the first South African in history to achieve such a goal.

GROOVE ELEMENT (aka DJ Morne) needs no introduction to the clubbing scene in SA and has firmly established himself as one of the top DJs in Jo’burg and beyond. Morne launched his status early on, becoming known as a fresh new talent, and has since also proven his musical genius with spellbinding performances, which firmly puts him in a party league of his own. Morne has been entertaining us from behind the decks (and as producer) for the last 14 years, and continues to deliver with his diverse selection of blissful, cutting-edge music.

JAMES DAMIAN has music in his blood, ambition and a rare talent; this African powerhouse aims to create and forge his own individual style in the heady world of the dance biz. Right from the start, he took the music industry by the horns and has successfully managed to make a name for himself. His first public performance saw him as a guest at Derek The Bandits' Sound Republic party. Slightly raw but eager he left his mark and was offered a residency at one of the original "all weekend" clubs in Johannesburg, Sunnyside Up. He has also been one of the top resident DJs at South Africa's longest running and most successful club: ESP.

Tammy B earned her status as a fresh new tribal-tech house DJ, who was part of the original Divas On Decks-crew. She also formed part of the Twisted Sisters duo, which was one of the first acts to bring the international tech-sound to SA. More recently, she teamed up with Kirsti as Mayday Girls – a sexy double-barrel of girl power, complete with police-inspired outfits, handcuffs and sexy tech energy.

DJ, Producer, Music Journalist, DJ Store Owner, Promoter and “all round nice guy” are just some of the multi-faceted roles that ESP resident DAVE SKINZ is recognized for in his 15 year love affair with the electronic music scene in South Africa. When the sun sets, he is a top resident at one of the longest running clubbing brands in South Africa, ESP. When not cooking the ESP floors, Dave also throws his own small scale events under the brand name Skin.

ESP resident STUART HILLARY has become an iconic name on the “underground” house music circuit in South Africa, and is one of the key beatmasters that keep ESP’s Morning Sessions alive and rocking every weekend. He started his career in the early 1990s at some of the pioneering clubs that launched the house sound in South Africa – including Idols, Ms Henderson’s, Krypton and GASS/Therapy. He has produced various CD compilations, receives regular media attention and held a few prestigious international residencies as well; also having played at some of SA’s top events along with the world’s best.

BRAD PROLAD recently joined ESP as part of the club’s permanent resident DJ line-up every Saturday, as well as all headlining at all the venue’s special events and is recognised as one of the Johannesburg dance scene’s most innovative talents. Propelling listeners into the future of electronic music with his forward thinking concepts, he distorts the boundaries between artistry and DJ’ing with his creative house sets, and is also busy launching his own record label.

ESP resident RAFFERTY spent five years in London, where he played alongside some of the UK’s top performers, including living legends such as Carl Cox, Armand van Helden and Sebastian Ledger, just to name a few. He has also played at top clubs such as Pacha, White House and Clapham Grand. Upon his return to SA, “being part of the local scene has given me the platform to develop my sound, and play alongside some of SA’s top DJs”.

DJ SEEBZ is a new ESP resident; he is a floor-filling bass-driving DJ that promises to “get the floor jumping and go crazy to his funky, twisted and techy sets”. Following his Electro Fusion promo-mix CD series, he made his DJ debut at Stones Centurion in 2008, from where he rose to be one of the freshest new talents to hit the dancefloors of Pretoria. Having played alongside some of SA’s top DJs, he gained experience and learned many new styles, techniques and some secrets to the industry... This is a DJ with a proud determination to become one of the best DJs/producers to hit the dance scene, and rock the charts.
