With previous year's events in Birmingham and Long Eaton under their belts, the HDUK crew stage their mammoth 2004 event in Leeds in conjunction with one of the city’s most established hard dance brands – Incision.

Over 35 artists will perform at the city’s ‘Club Paradise’ venue over the course of 9 hours – and its all for either £6 or £8 and its all for charity! The night is an official event as part of World DJ Day with all profit heads to Nordoff Robins.

This is an event with a truly worthy course – the World DJ Day web site reading that “….music is used as a means to facilitate a positive change in a person's disability or condition…..”. Although this can be taken to indicate expression through dancing, this night could also be
said to have a different way of ‘facilitating a positive change’ – thus, a great night can be had at the same time as helping others.

‘HDUK’ continues to take a light-hearted or serious form of debate on any aspect of the hard dance scene in the form of an email discussion list. It features a pretty mixed bunch, from occasional clubbers to superstar DJs and producers. Throw in some additional producers, promoters, clubbers, webmasters and the like and you’re getting close to the mixture that makes up HDUK.

‘Incision’ has become the benchmark all things HARD and FURIOUS in Leeds.
Boasting everyone from A-Star to Alex Kidd, The Nu Energy Collective to Casper, the club has become known for its ‘take no prisoners’ approach and supplying it’s loyal following with a relentless, banging sound. As a result, its popularity has grown into something to be respected.

A live PA from DMF, who has engineered and co-produced tracks for the likes of Chris C, Simon Eve and the late RR Fierce, headlines the bill, with Paul Maddox, Amber D, DJGRH, Johnny Dangerous, JP & Jukesy and many more (including Incision residents Gilly and Deano) appearing in the main
room, most in a back to back format for added charity value!

Back to backs are very much the order of the day in Room 2 too with names such as Chris Hutchinson, Tim C, Ian Barker and Randum Ian added to the strong lineup; Leeds locals El Captino, Will Graney and Charlie Marlboro are also present, as well as the "Posh and Becks" of the London Hard Dance scene, Zana Mills and Simon Rutherford.

Room 3 is where we go for something a little different with piano house, dirty breaks, speed garage, funky techno, club classics and drum and bass all on offer.

Definitely an event for everyone, the whole thing is situated bang in the middle of Leeds City Centre and at the low price of just £6 for NUS and £8 others.

The combination of a damn good cause, a strong DJ lineup and the existing popularity of Incision will make this a fine event. Please be aware that demand will be high and that, as a result, it looks like being a promising event!

Hope to see you there?!
