After the success of our summer house parties, it's house music all night long once again for becomeone in January. For this month only we return to (sub)logic, home of so many top b1 memories. We're also running the event in association with the superb Sedition team so expect some seriously quality house music. Come and shelter from that winter cold with some summery tunes, phat beats and filthy basslines to warm your cockles.
Kicking things off will be the prog overlord himself, Mr Tim Davison. Tim’s superb performances this year have lead to a dream booking playing the main room at The Gallery on 18 February 2005 with Hybrid, James Zabiela and Eddie Haliwell. Tim has also been working hard on his own productions. His first tune ‘The More I Know’ was recently signed to leading Portuguese progressive house label ‘Feed Me Records’ (www.feedmerecords.com) which has attracted the plaudits of DJs including Sasha, John Digweed, Armin van Burren, Hernan Cattaneo, Anthony Pappa and Satoshi Tomiie. ‘The More I Know’ is scheduled for release in March 2005 and will feature a remix from Sumsonic’s Paul Rogers whose impressive discography includes tunes for Nick Warren’s Reykjavik mix album and Deep Dish’s Moscow mix album, both on the renowned Global Underground.
We are pleased to welcome back Brad 212 Finlay to becomeone. Brad's been housing it up at City Loud alongside Tim Deluxe, CJ Mackintosh, Frankie Knuckles and the Chemical Brothers in Turnmills famous main room. Brad's other projects include headlining at The White House, UP and Supermarket in Zurich. Brad has been doing it proper with some great re-edits and production of late.
MixMag's Gavin Herlihy is going to be cutting it up with his selection of Acid, 80s references, forgotten classics, and underground tracks. Gavin's recently played at Ministry of Sound for the superb NastyDirtySexMusic, Playtime, At Night and even jetted off to the Ukraine to play at Club Magma in Kiev. Gavin has rocked it for the likes of the Riot! house room at The End, Nic Fanciulli’s Fandango session with The Gallery at Turnmills, Chibuku Shake Shake and UP.
Seperating Dan Gerrett from fellow Cheshire Cat Jon Blonde was painful, but we knew he'd pull through once the mess was cleaned up. If you haven't heard these boys DJ yet it's about f*cking time you did! As part of MixMag Future Heros The Cheshire Catz, Dan has been spinning for the renowned house room at Riot! as well as being the main attraction at the famous At Night warehouse parties. Closing things off in style will be none other than OpaqueJake, purveyor of anything electronic and the wrong side of dirty. Alongside mixing one of our favourite CDs of the year - Real Crisis, Jake has warmed up at previous becomeone Summer Sessions in Anexo and also at Turnmills, as well as securing a set for New Years Eve this year with One.
