414 IMPLODES
Saturday May 27th, fluffy psy-trancers Implosion continue on their tour of some of Brixton’s finest, underground-clubbing establishments, visiting the legendary Club 414. Positioned on Coldharbour Lane it’s 10 year existence ensuring most London clubbers will have at some stage enjoyed it’s unique charms, though any memories of doing so are generally hazy. Starting 10pm and finishing 10am Implosion making the most of their opportunity whilst fully aware 414’s beauty only becomes clearly apparent, after sunup.
Implosion line-ups are cross-sections of all that exists within the psy-scene featuring both the global and the local, the known and unknown - in a environment that only London could provide. May 27th is no different and includes, Tron from Liquid Records - the label he represents plus the many years of djing, meaning the man from Mexico, garners much respect and admiration around the world. As well as Dick Trevor aka Dickster/Jumanji (Phantasm Records, Nano) plus Jay OM (Free-Spirit Records), Marchello (Free-Spirit, Neurobiotic, Fairy Tales), Project FM (Pointzero Records), Snafu (Omniscience), Mish Mash (Free-Spirit Records), Fordy (Pickle/MeowMix-Tube Radio 88.7FM), Evil Twins (Free-Spirit Records) and Bedouin (Free-Spirit Records).
I’m willing to argue that’s more than you could shake a stick at.
Dancing on the dance floor, you close your eyes, the music is making your whole body vibrate with a delicious energy, feeling the beats deep within, the energy of the rhythm lightens your spirit and a smile forms in the pit of your soul, it’s warming you, moving its way up then erupting to light up your face. Your body begins to sway…you’ve imploded, again.
