Judge Jules @ H2O Wildwaters - South Africa

From the icy winter straight into summer , everyone always knows that summertime is in full swing when Big Brother productions announced the date for its first summer party ,H2O with none other than Judge Jules!
Revellers where up @ sunrise and made there way to Wildwaters ! It was time to drown ourselves with sunshine , amazing people and blissful beats. Upon arrival we noticed that nobody had wasted any time with getting into the summer spirit , people where already in the water and spread out across the surrounding areas , this was going to be one great day !
Surrounded by Marquees , vendors and people in nothing but their bathing suits the day looked set to be another wild party in the South African Sunshine ! Vip's where treated to fresh fruit , quenchers an exclusive parking , dance floor & access to Club Sutra.
One of our local boys Ricardo started off the day with some friendly funky sunshine choons, followed by SA's very own Roger Goode who kept the people bouncing into the afternoon ! Then it was time for Ryan Dent who opened for Judge Jules , Ryan kept the crowd begging for more with sexy sounds until it was time for Judgement !
Stepping up to the box , The Judge greeted the dance floor with a huge grin ,and dropped his first tunes for the eagerly awaiting fans , Jules started funky and went into a energetic breakbeat followed by characteristic vocal trance that went down well with the sunset, I had anticipated a totally different set from Jules and it seems he didn't live up to the expectations of quite a few others I had chatted to over the day. The Judge is renowned for his uplifting sets but then again his set @ H20 was proof of his versatility.
After Jules it was time for another of SA's top Dj's Derek "The Bandit" ,who started off with a bang and brought all that where feeling the wrath of the days sun back to life within a few minutes! Dj Dizzy did not fail to impress with ending the festivities on the main floor for the day. As the day ended on the main floor all the peeps moved onwards to the stunning club Sutra where South Africa's no.1 national radio station, 5fm had prepared a 6 hour live broadcast for the H20 after party. 5fm's Rodger Goode started the show with some soulful house, followed by an impressive set from Ryan Dent that had the people screaming for more. Ricardo, one of S.A's most talked about funky Dj's delivered a flawless set followed by the infamous Manuel Oettl who ended Rodger's show for the night. As Rodger's show ended the time had arrived for 5fm's Derek "The Bandit" to take over the wheels of steel before Spiro played yet another legendary "Trance House" journey to a mass of screaming supporters on the dance floor.
When Spiro finished it was 12:00am and time for South Africa's hottest up and coming Dj Anton Nathrass who delivered an impressive banging hard trance set.
Overall the party was a huge success and although the set by Jules did not meet everybody's expectations the party went off and I am sure that everyone had an awesome day , as usual Big Brother Productions had pulled off another epic party which I am sure will not be soon forgotten! It was yet another fun filled day in the sun with a vibe that can not be explained...... It was H2O.
.....This is only the beginning of summer we can only imagine what Big Brother Productions has in store for us the next time !!
Till the next Euphoric summer party
Farewell

From: Arbiter on 19th Oct 2003 09:52.46 Been to a couple H2O's ... they Rock ...nothing better than bobbing about in a wavepool listening to Phat tunes (..or getting spat out of the Supa tube at 150 miles an hour for that matter)....
Another Wicked thing about the Venue is that it's about half a mile away from Johannesburg Airport, and directly in line with the Landing strip ..... in the Late afternoon you get these 747's and Air-busses Landing every ten minutes and they're so low you can almost touch em ;-)
From: EssQue on 20th Oct 2003 14:22.35 Yeah - bout to say - Not CT.

From: EssQue on 20th Oct 2003 14:24.35 Richardson still banging it out I see. Funny - never ever seen him play when livin there. He was a couple stds below me in my brothers class at CBC. He was more part of the Mod Squad in those days, while I was more into the goth side of things. How times change.
