Meet Poly's pin-ups in the form of Mark H and Hinsley

Reported by Macavity / Submitted 08-02-06 13:53

Do you know what the secret to a good party is? No, it's not good music, great decor, or a stunning venue - the key to having any successful event is totty. Every event should have its own fill of eye candy, and for Polysexual this comes in the form of Poly's pin-ups, aka Mark H and Hinsley.

These two boys are the loyal residents of Polysexual North, who month in, month out toil away at the decks to make sure everyone has a good time in a way only they know how. Such is their dedication to their craft and their fans, every so often they risk it all and make the treacherous journey down the M1 from Birmingham to Polysexual South, Brixton... and why? Just to keep their growing collection of adoring fans happy... well someone's got to do it.

Harderfaster found out a little bit more in a quick and dirty interview with Poly North's two famous residents.

Mark H and Hinsley

Of course they never want to let their fans down, so rest assured, they will be there in force at the Polysexual South’s first birthday on 18th February. But who are these mysterious sex gods? Hardefaster found out their vital statistics.

What is your real name?

Anthony Hinsley

Where do you come from?

Birmingham, UK

When did you first start Djing?

Too long ago! 1996.

Can you remember the first piece of vinyl you bought?

Lisa Marie Experience — ‘Keep On Jumpin’

When did you start playing for Poly?

Jubilee Weekend June 2002 — a top night!

What’s the best gig you’ve ever played?

Polysexual @ The Dome Aug 2003 — an amazing night! Also all the Global Gatherings will never be forgotten. J

What’s your worst personal habit?

I’d have to say scratching my crotch (cos I have to use both hands)!

You play for Polysexual. What’s the most Polysexual thing you’ve done?

Probably dressing up as a skeleton and being photographed doing gay catalogue poses. Some of my dancing can be quite outrageous as well!

Have you ever secretly tried on a girl’s underwear?

Only on my head.

What’s your favourite film?

Die Hard. Bitch.

What was the last lie you told. Did you get found out?

I am a good lad really, honest….

What’s the best birthday present you’ve ever got?

Well its my birthday in 2 weeks, so I’m hoping for xbox 360 !!! And world peace.

And finally...

Tits or arse?

Arse! No question.

Mark H

What is your real name?

Mark Hallett

Where do you come from?

Birmingham

When did you first start Djing?

I purchased my 1st set of decks in May 2001

Can you remember the first piece of vinyl you bought?

Yeah, I think it was Gridlock 3000 — ‘Fantastic Thing’ and Ingo — ‘Are You Ready For This’, shocking or what?! How times have moved on hey!

When did you start playing for Poly?

My 1st set was in August 2004 in the Nitrogen Room and then I played in the main room at Mashtonbury, New Years Day 2005.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever played?

All the Poly gigs have been immense but my best gig was at Global Gathering in 2005, playing in the middle of a packed out field to a load of crazy party people.

Hinsley, Ed Real & Mark H — Poly’s three residents

What’s your worst personal habit?

Biting my nails, but my New Year’s resolution was to stop and it’s going well so far.

You play for Polysexual. What’s the most Polysexual thing you’ve done?

Well that’s got to be hanging around with that Hinsley. Watch out for him you know!

Have you ever secretly tried on a girls underwear?

Yeah I wear a leopard skin thong on weekends, didn’t you know?! I am also going to enter the Eurovision Thong Contest 2006 as I missed out on first place last year!

What’s your favourite film?

Saw and Saw 2, wicked films with great story lines.

What was the last lie you told. Did you get found out?

I never tell lies I’ll have you know. I’m just cleverer at not getting found out!

What’s the best birthday present you’ve ever got?

Well I will let you into a secret ... it was a glow in the dark thong with an extra large pouch — I’m saving it for Polysexual’s Eurovision Thong Contest so watch this space!!

And finally...

Tits or arse?

Can I have both? Arse if I had to choose.

Thanks to Mark H and Hinsley for the photography.
