Tim Stokes presents TOOLKIT 3

The third instalment of Toolkit welcomes Tim stokes to the front line of all things hard: Where he presents a collection of his own studio works along side brand new Toolbox releases as well as a few reworkings of past Toolbox gems…

Tim’s first hit the Toolbox radar back in 2007 when his track “Adaware” was signed and released on our digital off-shot label Toolbox Choons. After riding high in the digital charts and with a bit of pressure from the vinyl buying DJ’s Tim made history after his track make it to plastic on the main label, after it had already been released digitally. A first for Toolbox releases!

In 2008 Tim was announced as one of 3 new official signings to Toolbox, creating opportunity for Tim to develop under the wing of one of the worlds most loved Hard House record labels. Since then he has delivered a block rockin remix of James Nardi and Julian Dwyer’s Toolbox classic “Drippin Wet”, provided us with his very own spamhammer and appeared on the 5th disc of the massive Nik Denton collaboration project, Toolbox V.

His skills haven’t gone unnoticed outside of Toolbox either! In 2008 his remix of “Music is moving” by Cortina was signed to Nukleuz and he also made an appearance on Killer Hurts with his track Black Mamba.

For Toolkit 3 Tim has collaborated with good friends James Taff and Steve Maynard on 3 new tracks. They are: “Jumped up” “Purgatory” and “Ghetto Farmyard”. Each birthed from the studios of THE three best producers in our industry: They are of course Dom Sweeten, Paul Maddox and Dave Owens.

Lucy Fur, Ex Extreme and Second Dimension provide the remaining brand new material for this Toolkit, and three Toolbox tracks of yesteryear get a 2009 rebuild. They are 99th Floor Elevators “Hooked” (Curve Pusher Remix), Munkjack – Hot Tamale (Defective Audio Remix) and The Resonates “Body Movin” (Tim Stokes Remix). Remixes that are sure to have your heart pounding right out of your god forsaken mouth!!!!!
